BCCI announce team India to play 14 T20Is, 4 Tests, 3 ODIs from November 2021 to June 2022

BCCI announce India to welcome the West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa next year while they face New Zealand at the end of this year.

The Indian cricket team are set to welcome New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa on home turf to play 14 T20I, 4 Test matches and 3 ODIs. The four teams will visit India between November 2021 and June 2022 as per the announcement made by the BBCI. The eight-month period of cricketing action will see New Zealand from November to December, West Indies in February 2022, Sri Lanka from February to March and finally South Africa in June of next year. During December 2021 and January 2022, the Men in Blue will be seen touring South Africa and later a break from International cricket with the start of the 2022 season of the IPL from April to May. 

India will play 2 Tests and 3 T20Is against the Black Caps while the West Indies are scheduled to play 3 Odis and 5 T20Is. The short Test series comes back against Sri Lanka with 2 games and 3 T20Is. The South Africans will be visiting for a short tour to play 5 T20Is in just 10 days. “We have kept 14 T20Is because we have another T20 World Cup in Australia in a year and we need to have adequate matches before the big event,” said a BCCI official as reported by PTI.

India vs New Zealand: three T20Is and two Tests (November 17 to December 7) venues: Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kanpur, Ranchi

India vs West Indies: three ODIs and three T20Is (February 6 to 20, 2022) venues: Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Cuttack, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Visakhapatnam

India vs Sri Lanka: two Tests and three T20Is (February 25 to March 18, 2022) venues: Dharamsala, Bengaluru, Lucknow,  Mohali

India vs South Africa: five T20Is (June 9 to 19, 2022) venues: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Rajkot, Nagpur
