Shakib al Hasan, the captain of the Bangladesh T20I, will not be available for the forthcoming two-match T20 series against the UAE. After the national team’s recent three-day training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium from September 12–14 was postponed due to the country’s relentless rains, BCB decided to host the series.The series versus UAE will not feature Shakib al Hasan, who is currently competing for Guyana Amazon in the Caribbean Premier League.
“Shakib is unavailable in UAE,” BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed. Later it was revealed that Nurul Hasan will captain the team against UAE, as he previously led the team in the T20I match against Zimbabwe before having to return home due to injury.
