Star all-rounder player of Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan is going to miss second and the final Test against the West Indies due to thigh injury, said team management on Monday.
Shakib got injured during the opening Test defeat in Chittagong that ended Sunday. He was unable to play in the second innings.
His absence was felt hugely when Bangladesh couldn’t guard a huge 394-run lead.
Kyle Mayers struck an unbeaten 210 and led West Indies towards the victory by three wickets.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board said in a statement, “Shakib has been assessed and monitored thoroughly since suffering a strain on his lest thigh on the second day of the match,”
Still no replacement has been named for the second Test which starts in Dhaka on Friday.
