The Indian side captain Virat Kohli opined that his team should start well in the first ODI against Australia. The long awaited Australian tour has already begun.
Virat Kohli will lead his side to the first international cricket in Sydney since the COVID-19 lockdown. India will play two more games in the ODI series, 3 match T20I series are to start from 4th December and 4 Test matches.
Before the start of the long waited match, Virat Kohli revealed his team is well prepared and strong. Virat Kohli also clarified about the opening duo.
“It’s important to start well as a team, we need to start strongly and set the momentum for the matches ahead. The preparations have been nice, we got some valuable time ( on account of the quarantine). Mayank Agarwal will open- Manish Pandey, Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, Natarajan and Sanju Samson are the five players missing out.
The match will have limited crowd keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocols. Both the team captains have come from playing IPL 2020 for the IPL franchise and are the two main players to watch for.
