Ashes Second Test Day 2: Australia end their first innings with 416 runs on board

On the second day of the Ashes 2nd Test at Lord’s, England’s pacer Ollie Robinson continued his impressive form by taking the final wicket of the Australian innings. Bowling a short delivery wide of off-stump, Robinson tempted Josh Hazlewood to go for the aggressive shot. However, Hazlewood could only manage to get an outside edge, sending the ball flying head high towards England captain Joe Root at first slip.

Root showcased excellent reflexes, stretching his hands over his head to grasp the catch and secure Hazlewood’s dismissal. The Australian batsman departed after contributing just 4 runs, including a solitary boundary.
