After missing trip to South Africa Angelo Mathews rejoins the Sri Lanka squad for England test series

Angelo Mathews an experienced Sri Lanka batsman who missed his trip to South Africa due to hamstring injury has rejoined the Sri Lanka squad for the two match home series against England which is going start on Thursday.

Mathews was named in Sri Lanka’s 22-man squad for the series, which got postponed in March after England returned home due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The game will continue to be played in Galle without fans.

Experienced Batsman Dhananjaya de Silva and fast bowler Kasun Rajitha both were prohibited against England after suffering injuries in South Africa.

After suffering a spate of injuries during their two heavy defeats in South Africa Sri Lanka squad has welcomed back batsman Dinesh Chandimal and pacemen Suranga Lakmal and Lahiru Kumara to play against England.
