Afghanistan calls back Mohammad Nabi for Pakistan series

The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed on Tuesday that veteran allrounder and former captain Mohammad Nabi has been recalled for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan. (March 21).

Nabi resigned as Afghanistan captain following the T20 World Cup last year and was also left out of the squad for the series against the UAE last month. Doubts were raised about his international future at the time due to his age, but the 38-year-old allrounder has now been recalled for the series, which will be played in Sharjah on March 24, 26, and 27.

“Our team has been working hard in training camp and selectors have selected the best available players for the series,” ACB CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan said. “I am confident that our team will perform at their best and make our nation proud. We wish our team the best of luck for the series and hope to see them emerge victorious.
