Afghanistan announces 15-men squad for ICC T20 World Cup

Afghanistan has announced their 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, which gets underway on October 16 in Australia. Afghanistan’s captain once more is Mohammad Nabi, who led Afghanistan in the recently finished Asia Cup 2022.

The Asia Cup lineup was missing Samiullah Shinwari, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Afsar Zazai, Karim Janat, and Noor Ahmad.

In the meantime, the squad has been expanded to include right-arm quick Salim Safi, all-rounder Qais Ahmad, and middle-order hitter Darwish Rasooli.

The Shpageeza Cricket League 2022 saw 22-year-old Rasooli, who made his international debut earlier this year, advance after overcoming a finger injury and putting on a strong showing.
