Afghanistan crosses the 200-run mark as left-handed batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi scored his second fifty in Test cricket, while Captain Asghar Afghan brings up his fourth against Zimbabwe on the first day of the second Test series held at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, UAE.

After scoring some runs, Rahmat Shah was run out leaving Afghanistan on 56 for two after which Ibrahim Zadran was caught with the bowling of Ryan Burl after he scored 72 runs off 130 balls. The score was at 12 for three after which Shahidi and Afghan took over.
