
HS Prannoy, the Indian shuttler lost the finals of the Swiss Open 2022 against the Indonesian player Jonatan Christie. Prannoy lost the game by 12-21, 18-21 in the finals of the men’s singles which lasted for 48 minutes at the arena of St. Jakobshalle.
In the opening of the game, Jonatan Christie the World No. 8 started on a positive note grabbing a lead of 4-1 by winning 3 points on the trot. HS Prannoy fought back by winning four consecutive points taking a lead of 5-4.
Prannoy, the World No. 26 led 7-5 at one point but from there, he lost his way. which make the Indonesian win 4 consecutive points to get a lead of 12-8and went on to win the opening 21-12 to go one game up.
In the second fight both the shuttlers have made a neck-to-neck fight against each other and at point, both levelled at 7. But from there Jonatan Christie won 4 points straight to take a lead by 11-7.
HS Prannoy, who was trailing by 9-13 made a comeback to level up it and make it 13-13. But after that Jonatan Christie made the race away with a 20-15 lead. Prannoy fought winning 3 points consecutively but at that time it was a little too late for him as Jonatan Christie won the 2nd game by 21-18 and make a hold on the title of Swiss Open Super 300.
