National Law Universities announce CLAT 2020 date as well as guidelines

National Law Universities announced that the Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) will be conducted on the 7th of September.

Much speculation has been going on how will Universities be conducting Entrance and other exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

There have been several guidelines set in the same regard. These include :

  1. Mandatory thermal testing before entering the entrance hall.
  2. Students whose temperature is above 99.14 will give the exam in isolation labs where the staff will be given PPEs.
  3. Students will be allowed to carry certain items for sanitization including masks, gloves and sanitizer bottles. 

The CLAT guidelines for the students are :

  1. Candidates will have to mandatorily bring their admit card and a valid ID card such as voter ID, Aadhar card, passport or any other as prescribed in the CLAT admit card.
  2. Other than the prescribed items, candidates cannot bring anything else.
  3. Thermal screening is mandatory for all.
  4. Candidates will have to avoid forming groups at the exam centre.
  5. Calculators are not allowed inside the hall, nor any paper or study material.
  6. The test will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. CLAT mock test will be released before the exam. However, candidates are expected to have familiarity with the use of computers.
