Royal Enfield is gearing up to upgrade its iconic lineup with a 750cc engine, and the latest sighting of the Interceptor 750 in India adds fuel to the excitement. After sightings of the Continental GT 750 near Chennai and the Himalayan 750 undergoing testing in Southern Europe, the Interceptor 750 has now been spotted in India.
Here’s what to expect in Royal Enfield Interceptor 750
The upcoming Interceptor 750 is expected to house Royal Enfield’s newly developed 750cc parallel-twin engine, promising higher power, enhanced torque, and refined performance compared to the current 650cc models. While it’s likely to retain the familiar 6-speed gearbox, revised gear ratios could complement the bike’s updated character.
Spy shots reveal notable updates, including a revised exhaust system with compact twin mufflers similar to those on the Continental GT 750 prototype. The bike also features dual front disc brakes for improved stopping power and a modern single-pod digital instrument console, possibly borrowed from other recent Royal Enfield models like the Himalayan 450 and Bear 650.
Interestingly, the test mule retains the signature retro design of the Interceptor 650, suggesting Royal Enfield’s intention to preserve its classic charm while integrating cutting-edge upgrades.
