
President of India, On Friday, took to Twitter to mourn the unfortunate demise of music legend SP Balasubrahmanyam who passed away on Friday. He said that India has lost one of the finest music legends. He mentioned how he was called ” Paadum Nila” or ‘Singing Moon’ by his fans and had received many national honours including Padma Bhushan. He extended his deepest condolences to his family, friends and well-wishers.
SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on Friday at the age of 74 at a hospital in Chennai where he was undergoing treatment for COVID-19. He was admitted to the hospital after he had tested positive for the virus on August 5. However, in the last 24 hours, his condition had deteriorated further, requiring maximum life support. He was on life support and breathed his last today at 1:04 pm.
Having lost a celebrated musician, the nation is in shock and people have taken to social media to express their remorse. Director Venkat Prabhu is the one who first shared the news on his Twitter page, and shocked the fans. He may have left this world, but his soulful songs will keep his legacy alive.
