Rajasthan Election 2023: Congress releases fourth list, Gourav Vallabh fielded from Udaipur

The party has also fielded Dr. Vikas Choudhary from 98-Kishangarh assembly seat. Choudhary, peviously contested from Kishangarh seat in 2018 polls on BJP ticket, but didn’t manage to win the seat.

On Monday, the Congress party released the fourth list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. In this list, 56 names have been announced. With this list, the Congress party has now fielded candidates on 151 seats. At the same time, BJP has declared candidates only on 124 seats so far.

In this list, Congress has fielded its National Spokesperson Prof. Gourav Vallabh from 153-Udaipur seat. Gourav Vallabh is known for his fiery debating skills on Television news channels. Further, the party has fielded Dr. Vikas Choudhary from 98-Kishangarh assembly seat. Choudhary, peviously contested from Kishangarh seat in 2018 polls on BJP ticket, but didn’t manage to win the seat.

The party announced the list after after the Central Election Committee (CEC) held a meeting today in which the candidates were finalised. The meeting was chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. During the meeting, CPP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara and other senior leaders of the party were also present.

The names of UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal and PHED Minister Mahesh Joshi, who went against the party’s decision to hold MLAs meeting, are not even in the fourth list. There was a possibility that both the leaders might get tickets in this list, but the Congress high command has once again put the names of both on hold.

“Advance congratulations for victory to the 56 candidates declared in the fourth list of the Congress Party for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections-2023,” said PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara.
