Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali to launch e-commerce platform ‘OrderME’ to sell swadeshi goods

Patanjali, the company cofounded by yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Balakrishnan is to launch an e-commerce website for its products and solution. Patanjali is the fastest growing FMCG company. And Patanjali is now one of the major Indian companies which is all about Ayurveda and natural products. After Modi’s speech on India being “aatam nirbhar” which means self -reliant, the focus is increasingly towards locally manufactured products and what better than Patanjali, the brand which banks on it use of “ancient wisdom” and the science of Ayurveda.

Apart from selling its own products, the platform will also connect the customers to stores selling Indian products. The platform, OrderMe, guarantees free home delivery within a few hours. One aspect of this website which has caught the attention of customers is the fact that it will provide free medical advice round the clock. And lastly, how can a website launched by the company not include yoga? Yoga tutorials will also be a part of this innovative idea. The website is to be launched in the next 15 days, as said by a source.

Acharya Balkrishna, CEO of the company, was quoted as saying “OrderMe will only supply and endorse swadeshi products. It is Patanjali’s effort to contribute to our long-standing swadeshi movement by connecting all the local retailers and small shop owners so that those selling swadeshi products can benefit from our platform. They can join the platform and the plan is to deliver their products free of cost.”

This app is also being developed indigenously, at Bharuwa Solutions, the tech start -up by Patanjali, which offers cloud services and IT solutions.
