BTS meets Coldplay in NYC, gifts modern hanbok ahead of ‘MY Universe’ release

BTS, K-pop boy band is going to release a new song in collaboration with Coldplay. BTS boys met with the Coldplay members in NYC days before the release of their song, My Universe.

The new song, My Universe, is lined up to be released by the two mega boy bands. This BTS x Coldplay collaboration has got Coldplayers and ARMY exited. On September 22, Parlophone Records, the British rock group’s label, revealed a surprise list of three upcoming releases for fans to keep an eye on.

The label through their Instagram teased fans, “Two days until the release of ‘My Universe’ by Coldplay x BTS — and we can tell Coldplayers and the ARMY are as excited as we are! Here are some #MYUNIVERSE dates for your diary.”

Ahead of the release, BTS as tradition goes, gifted Coldplay with modernized Hanboks, BTS’ big collaboration earlier with Halsey also saw the exchange of gifts, Where Halsey had gifted the boys a sparkly bracelet while BTS boys gifted her a golden mic, after their funny Banter over the beautiful mics BTS used and she had to use  simple one.

BTS also shared a picture on their social media handle where Coldplay lead singer, Chris martin be seen standing in the middle wearing a purple colored Hanbok, flanked between black clad RM and Suga. While Coldplay bassist, Guy Berryman is seen standing in style wearing a grey Hanbok. A modernized Hanbok is a easy to wear shirt like clothing, it is a bit different from traditional Hanbok.

“My Universe” is set to be released with an official lyric video on Friday at midnight ET (8:30 am Saturday in India). On Sunday at 8 a.m. ET(at 4:30pn in India) , BTS and Coldplay will also release a documentary, likely titled Inside My Universe, then later that day, a Supernova7 mix and acoustic version of the song will drop on streaming services at 7 p.m. ET. The songs will be released both in English and Korean
