Even before its release, Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial Sadak 2 has landed in trouble. Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader, Vijay Shankar Tiwari, has called out the film for hurting ‘Hindu religious sentiments’. He claimed that the film is portraying Hindus in a bad light and actions should be taken against the makers.

VHP leader’s tweet came hours before the official trailer release of Sadak 2. The film, starring Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur is a sequel to the 1991 film that originally starred Sanjay with Pooja Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt has revisited the story of Sadak 29 years later which explains why there’s so much curiosity around the film. This is the first time Mahesh Bhatt has directed his daughter Alia in a film. Although not everyone is pleased with the film’s trailer.
The VHP leader has also dragged the question of nepotism amidst lashing out on the film. Considering the VHP spokesperson has accused the film of hurting religious sentiments even before watching the film.
The trailer of Sadak 2 released this morning and it’s winning the audience. People are loving Alia and Aditya’s chemistry.
