Netflix brings on board Good Girls’ Guide to Murder with Emma Myers of Wednesday in lead

Netflix has boarded BBC Three’s upcoming YA adaption of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder starring Emma Myers, known for her role in Wednesday.

The streamer has taken rights in the U.S. and the majority of territories bar the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. The status of the series is currently in post production stage and is expected to air later this year.

The series, which has been adapted by Red Rose scribe Poppy Cogan and directed by Dolly Wells and Tom Vaughan, follows Pip Fitz-Amobi, played by Emma, who is investigating death of a schoolgirl five years ago. It has been deemed that Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh, but smart and single- minded Pip is not sure about it and is focused onto proving it.

Apart from Emma, the series also feature Zain Iqbal, Gary Beadle, Anna Maxwell Martin, India Lillie Davies, Mathew Baynton, Rahul Pattni, Mitu Panicucci, Henry Ashton, Orla Hill, Carla Woodcock, Ephraim O.P. Sampson, Yasmin Al-Khudhairi, Jackson Bews, Jessica Webber, Georgia Aaron, Matthew Khan, Oliver Wickham, Annabel Mullion, Adam Astill, Jude Morgan-Collie, Asha Banks, Raiko Gohara, and Yali Topol Margalith.

The original novel by Holly Jackson was a bestseller and had spawned two follow ups.
