Malik Elassal, Owen Thiele, Lucy Freyer, Amita Rao, and Jack Innanen has been roped in for the lead cast of FX’s ensemble comedy pilot Snowflakes, which is written by The Tonight Show scribes Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw and will be helmed by Jonathan Krisel, who is known for directing Baskets.
Snowflakes is a twenty something ensemble comedy following a group of codependent housemates – Billie, played by Lucy, Samir, played by Malik, Anoton, played by Owen, Issa, played by Amita, and Paul Baker, played by Jack – who are trying to be good people, despite not being either “good” or “people”.
Nick Kroll and Alicia Van Couvering, who runs his Good at Business production banner, will be executive producers alongside Ben Kronengold, Rebecca Shaw, Jonathan Krisel, and Karey Dornetto, who is known for being the showrunner on Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens. FX Productions, where Good at Business is under a first- look deal, is the studio.
