The broadcast was ranked as its number new special of the year, as per the CW, as the viewership peaked over 1.1 million, per Nielsen, for the final moments of the show including the crowning of Miss Utah, Noelia Voigt, as Miss USA.

The 73rd Miss USA Pageant will air live on the CW on Sunday, August 4, after Miss Teen USA airs on Thursday, August 1.

Over the years, Miss USA has bounced around a number of networks including NBC, Reelz, Fox, and FYI.

The event for this year has scrapped the age limit for the contestants, which will allow the women over the age of 29 to participate. Last year, the event had changed the rules by allowing married, divorced, widowed, and even mothers to compete.

The 73rd Miss USA Pageant will take place in Los Angeles. It is executive produced by Renato Basile.
