Ranveer Singh has once more received praise from Ryan Reynolds. Like many others in India, the Hollywood actor stated that he would like to DM Ranveer Singh. Prior to this, Ryan and Ranveer engaged in online banter after the latter provided the voice for the former’s character in the Hindi adaptation of Deadpool 2.
In a recent interview with India Today, Ryan and Rob were asked to mention any Indian star whose direct message they would want to slip into. Ryan took Ranveer Singh’s name right away but Rob declined to do so because his wife Kaitlin Olson would also be watching the interview.
Ryan answered, “Ranveer Singh for me,” which spurred Rob to respond, “He would be the Ryan Reynolds of India, would he not, and vice versa.” Ryan’s humble response was, “I don’t know if I am Ranveer Singh. I am trying to be.” According to a story from India Today, Ryan added, “Pretty sure everyone in India wants to do it too.”
Earlier in 2018, Ryan was mentioned in a tweet by Ranveer, who referred to the actor as his Canadian counterpart. Ranveer had provided the voiceover for the Hindi version of Deadpool 2. He had written, “Astonishing how effectively I’ve managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart. @VancityReynolds. Never realised how fulfilling and rewarding foul the Hindi language can be! #Deadpool2Hindi.” To this, Ryan had replied, “Well if I tried to curse in Hindi, pretty sure there would be an international incident.”
Ryan and Rob McElhenney recently collaborated on the Disney+ Hotstar series Welcome to Wrexham. It follows their road toward partnering up and acquiring ownership of National League football team Wrexham AFC. A DM was the first step in their partnership as business partners.
