Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who was suffering from pneumonia has successfully completed his treatment at Khar-based P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre he got discharged on Wednesday. The ‘Ishqiya’ actor had a small patch of pneumonia in his lungs and was undergoing medication for the same. His son and actor Vivaan Shah took to his official Instagram handle and posted the pictures of Naseeruddin Shah with wife Ratna Pathak Shah updating fans about his recovery. He posted couple of photos of Naseeruddin which was captioned as, “Back home” and “He just got discharged today morning.” The first image revealed the actor using his phone while Ratna uses her phone. Whereas, the second image shows him standing in his room.
Naseeruddin Shah’s wife and veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah formerly informed PTI, “Yes, he has a small patch and all under control. He is Responding well to treatment so hope he’ll be discharged soon.”
The veteran Naseeruddin Shah made his acting debut with Shyam Benegal’s “Nishant” in 1975 and became a powerful figure of parallel auditorium in the 70s and 80s. The Shah further went on to feature in various acclaimed movies, including “Sparsh” (1979), “the cult” 1983, the black satire “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro”, “Masoom” which was helmed by Shekhar Kapur and “Mirch Masala”.
