Amidst Lockdown, every shoot was ceased due to the outbreak of worldwide pandemic. Lockdown 5 has enabled filmmakers to continue the shoots that were paused in halfway. The government has sent 16-page guidelines to the respective bodies to be followed while they resume shoots.
Recently, in a conversation with actress Bhumi Pednekar, Spotboye asked her if she was scared of apprehensive about resuming shoot given the spike in number of cases in the last few days.
To this, Pati Patni Aur Woh actress replied that she truly believe that they have experts who are guiding them through this worldwide outbreak of pandemic. She is proud of the fact that population has managed to handle this pandemic very efficaciously. Although, there have been casualties and it cannot be denied, the actress feels extremely blue for the people who are vulnerable to COVID-19 and are suffering the virus. Bhumi also feels extremely dire about the situation of migrants. Thus, if she won’t resume the work, what is the way forward for her?
“It is scary, I won’t lie. I also had apprehensions on how will I shoot, because it is such an intimate environment on a film set but you have got to do, what you have to. We will figure it out, we will do it collectively. If we just abide by the protocols that the Government has listed, I think it truly will make life easier than we think. We have to put money back in the economy, right? There are so many people whose livelihood is dependent on that one day of work I do,” Bhumi added.
However, the actress feels proud of her fraternity to have come forward in the troubled times. Hence, she proudly concluded by saying, “We as an actors and a community have come together beautifully to help each other on individual levels but that is all we can do. Our contribution will not uplift the economy. You have daily wage earners who are scared that they will die of starvation than the disease. Seeing them come out, I feel emboldened too. I am ready, we have to do this.”
