AGS Transact Technologies Limited has unveiled the pilot of its innovative Ongo Ride in Mumbai. This instant National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) solution will enable seamless travel across the city’s NCMC-enabled buses and metro network.
Building on the success of its NCMC implementation in Chennai Metro, Ongo Ride aims to enhance the commuting experience for Mumbai’s fast-paced population. With approximately 3.5 million daily commuters on BEST buses alone, this unified payment system offers faster, more convenient travel options.
Ongo Ride is a zero-KYC National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) that meets the RBI’s latest criteria and offers a more efficient commuting experience. It offers commuters a uniform payment option that smoothly connects numerous means of transportation, including metros, buses, and water ferries, as well as parking and toll booths throughout India.
Ongo is the digital payments platform and a PPI from the house of AGS Transact Technologies Limited. The company has issued around 60,000 NCMCs at Bangalore and Chennai Metro.
