The Israeli military launched a series of raids across the occupied West Bank early this morning, resulting in the injury of three Palestinian men in the Umm ash-Sharayet neighborhood of el-Bireh. This operation was part of a broader crackdown targeting multiple locations throughout the region, according to Al Jazeera.
Israeli forces executed the incursion into el-Bireh in response to escalating clashes with Palestinian militants. Eyewitnesses and medical sources report that the three men injured in the raid are receiving treatment for gunshot wounds at a nearby hospital. The severity of their injuries remains uncertain.
In addition to the violence in el-Bireh, other operations were conducted in the West Bank. During a separate raid on the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, another Palestinian man was wounded, though his condition is currently unknown. Israeli forces also arrested a Palestinian individual in Hizma, a town north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli military’s actions extended to several other areas, including the city of Nablus, Aqraba town south of Nablus, and Anata town northeast of Jerusalem. These operations come amid ongoing tensions and conflict in the region.
In response, Palestinian fighters have reportedly targeted Israeli settlements with gunfire, including the Bat Hefer settlement north of Tulkarem and the Avnei Hefetz settlement to the south. This series of events underscores the persistent unrest in the West Bank.
