In a statement posted on Telegram, the Ministry of Health identified the three victims as Ashraf Eid Zaher Nafeh, Muhammad Ibrahim Muhammad Awad and Muhammad Badie Muhammad Radwan. All three are known to be leaders of armed groups in the area. The girl’s name was identified as Bayan Muhammad Jumaa Salama Eid and the 50-year-old woman’s name was identified as Iman Muhammad Jumaa.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack, saying Nafeh and Awad were “terrorists” who attacked Israeli soldiers. In a statement, the military indicated that the operation was to eliminate the threat of these people.
Access to the Tulkarem refugee camp has increased tensions in the region, due to increased violence in recent months. The death of the leaders of the three armed groups has attracted the attention of the local military, which is likely to intensify.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the girl Bayan Muhammad Jumaa Salama Eid and the 50-year-old woman Iman Muhammad Jumaa, who died in the attack, were not connected to any group killing. Their deaths highlighted the humanitarian crisis and the loss of civilians caught in the crossfire.
The Tulkarem refugee camp has been the centre of violence due to frequent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups. Today’s airstrikes are part of Israel’s broader strategy to eliminate military networks in the occupied West Bank. However, these activities caused many deaths in the human race, which was condemned by the world and demanded to be stopped.
The Palestinian Authority condemned the attack as a “flagrant violation of international law” and called for immediate international intervention to protect civilians in the occupied territories. Human rights groups have raised these concerns and called for an investigation into the matter.
As the situation in Tulkarem and other parts of the West Bank continues to worsen, the international community continues to push to defuse the crisis and innovate for a peaceful solution. The recent deaths highlight the urgent need to address the root causes of the conflict and protect innocent lives amid ongoing threats.
