The orbital rail corridor, designed to function as a loop around Delhi, will serve as a major infrastructure development aimed at facilitating seamless transit between key urban centres in the NCR. The project will connect Ghaziabad to important industrial and residential hubs in Haryana and the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, providing an efficient alternative to road transport, which is currently plagued by heavy traffic and frequent bottlenecks.
This rail link is anticipated to not only enhance the region’s transportation capacity but also boost economic activity by improving access to key commercial areas. It is expected to spur growth in real estate, retail, and industrial sectors along the corridor, as better connectivity typically drives up demand for housing and commercial space.
The orbital rail project is part of the NCR Transport Plan 2032, which envisions a comprehensive network of high-speed, high-capacity transit links to support the region’s burgeoning population and economic growth.
