Northern Israel faced a deadly escalation on Tuesday when a rocket fired from Lebanon hit Kibbutz Gesher in the Upper Galilee, killing one person and raising regional tensions. The Israeli military said it detected about ten rockets fired from Lebanese territory, most of which were intercepted by Israeli defence systems.
