The US House of Representatives passed legislation to address concerns about the US Postal Service. The bill passed 257 to 150.
The bill will provide $25 billion in emergency funds to shore up the U.S. Postal Service and halt any changes to the agency’s operation until after the presidential elections.
The chamber passed the emergency bill during a rare Saturday session called by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“The bill was necessary to reject the Trump administration’s efforts to undermine the critical mission of the postal service,” Nancy Pelosi said.
However, President Donald Trump termed the move a “HOAX by the Democrats”
