Joe Biden refers Vladimir Putin as ‘dangerous’

He further alleged that his Russian counterpart is leading an economy that has only nuclear weapons and ‘nothing else’. 

President Joe Biden on Tuesday accused his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin of trying to disrupt the upcoming 2022 US midterm election, which is scheduled to be held in November of the next year. In the midterm election, all the 435 seats in the US House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the senate will be contested.

Biden, while referring to Putin, termed the later as ‘dangerous’. He further alleged that his Russian counterpart is leading an economy that has only nuclear weapons and ‘nothing else’.

President Joe Biden made these allegations to around 120 representatives of the US intelligence who assembled at the headquarter of the office of the director of national intelligence (ODNI) in northern Virginia.

The US President voiced, “Look at what Russia doing already about the 2022 elections and misinformation” while referring to the information, he received during his daily briefing. Furthermore, he claimed that the Russian President’s  actions are a ‘pure violation’ of the United States sovereignty.

US President voiced, “Putin has a real problem”. He added, “He is sitting on the top of an economy that has nuclear weapons and nothing else. He knows he is in real trouble, which makes him even more dangerous in my view.”

Joe Biden highlighted on recent rise in cyberattacks along with the ransomware which is allegedly carried out by Moscow.  “If we end up in a war, a real shooting war, with a major power, it’s going to be as a consequence of a cyber breach,” Biden cautioned. He further cited that the ransomware attacks typically see hackers encrypting victims date and eventually demands money for restored access.

The US midterm elections is likely to be held on November 8, 2022. Around 39 states along with territorial gubernatorial and several other states and local elections are also scheduled to be held in the same time.
