
Before Norway made its announcement of recognizing the Palestinian state, the Israeli foreign ministry had already reacted.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the authority called for recall of Israel’s ambassadors to Ireland and Norway for consultations as the latter countries’ have decided onto recognizing a Palestinian state.
“I’m sending a clear and unequivocal message to Ireland and Norway: Israel will not remain silent in the face of those undermining its sovereignty and endangering its security,” read the lengthy post on social media platform.
It also slammed the countries of their announcement and claimed it as a reward for Hamas and Iran, despite of the former, which is a terrorist organisation, has carried out a large massacre of Jews. The statement labeled the decision as “injustice to the memory of the victims” who lost their lives on October 7, 2023.
“The Irish-Norwegian folly does not deter us; we are determined to achieve our goals: restoring security to our citizens, dismantling Hamas, and bringing the hostages home. There are no more just causes than these,” mentioned the Israeli authority.
