Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a fresh warning against 18 American technology and industrial companies, explicitly naming Microsoft, Apple, Google, Intel and Boeing among them. According to Iranian state media on March 31, 2026, the IRGC declared their facilities and operations in the Middle East as legitimate targets in direct retaliation for alleged US and Israeli “terrorist operations” and attacks on Iran.

The statement accuses these American ICT, AI and aerospace firms of playing a central role in designing, supporting and executing assassinations, cyberattacks and military strikes against Iranian targets. It warns that for every act of aggression or “terror” carried out in Iran, corresponding facilities belonging to these companies will be struck proportionally.

The IRGC urged employees working at these sites and nearby residents to evacuate immediately for their safety, stating the threats will take effect from April 1. This latest escalation broadens the scope of the conflict beyond traditional military targets into technology, data centers, cloud infrastructure and industrial assets across the Gulf and the wider region.

No immediate public reaction has been reported from the named US companies or Washington. The announcement adds to growing security concerns for American businesses with regional presence amid the intensifying Middle East conflict

Background on the Escalation

The IRGC’s move is framed as a direct response to recent US and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, including alleged assassinations of senior figures. Iran has repeatedly vowed to expand its retaliation beyond conventional battlefields, opening new “fronts” in economic and technological domains.

This development highlights how modern conflicts are increasingly blending traditional warfare with cyber, economic, and infrastructure dimensions — where commercial tech companies find themselves caught in the crossfire.
