An Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Siddiqin in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, killing at least three civilians and injuring several others, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency and health officials.

The strike was part of a series of overnight Israeli airstrikes across multiple towns in southern Lebanon, including Kfar Dounin, Batoulay, ash-Shihabiyah, Ain Baal, Kafra, and Wadi al-Hujeir. Rescue teams responded to the scene amid reports of damage to residential areas.

Hezbollah Launches Rocket Response

In retaliation, Hezbollah announced it fired a salvo of rockets toward the Adamit settlement in northern Israel. The group described the attack as a direct response to the latest Israeli strikes on Lebanese territory.

Israeli authorities reported that the rockets were intercepted or landed without causing casualties or significant damage on their side.

Ongoing Tit-for-Tat Violence

These incidents highlight the persistent cycle of strikes and counter-strikes along the Israel-Lebanon border. Israeli forces continue operations targeting areas with alleged Hezbollah presence, while Hezbollah maintains rocket fire toward Israeli border communities and military positions.

The exchanges have added to the heavy civilian toll in southern Lebanon, where over 1,460 people have been killed since the current escalation began in early March 2026. Both sides show no immediate signs of de-escalation, raising concerns over further civilian casualties and humanitarian impact in the region.
