Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for restoration of peace in the Middle East

Cairo, Oct 21 : Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday called for work on a roadmap to restore a peace process in the Middle East, adding that it would bring an end to the humanitarian tragedy.

“I have urged you to work together to reach a consensus on a roadmap to end the current humanitarian tragedy and revitalize the peace process,” El-Sisi said during the Cairo Peace Summit.

The Palestinian issue could not be resolved without a fair decision, he said, adding that it also would not happen “at the expense of Egypt.” Cairo rejects the idea of the forced displacement of Palestinians, he stated.

“We condemn the strikes against all civilians,” El-Sisi said.
