
The pilot of a hijacked airliner in Mississippi has threatened to deliberately crash the aircraft into a Walmart store.
In Tupelo, northeast Mississippi, police assisted Walmart and Dodges to evacuate their businesses after issuing a warning that things could quickly deteriorate.
Authorities claimed that at before 5:00 am on Saturday, they received a report that an airplane’s pilot was passing over Tupelo.
“The pilot has made contact with 911 and is threatening to intentionally crash into Wal-Mart on West Main,” it continued.
A Twitter user posted a video of the plane and alleged: “Currently we have a 29yr old who stole this plane & is threatening to crash it into something.”
Authorities claimed that at before 5:00 am on Saturday, they received a report that an airplane’s pilot was passing over Tupelo.
Up until the all-clear is given, police have advised residents to stay away from that area.
Their statement continued: “With the mobility of an aeroplane of that type the danger zone is much larger than even Tupelo.”
