Pokemon Go raids are still one of the best ways to get rare and strong Pokemon. Many of these Pokemon almost never show up in the wild, so players rely on raids to fill their Pokédex or build a powerful team. Every month the game rotates raid bosses, and November 2025 brings a long list of interesting choices. Some are legendary, some are mega forms, some are shadow versions, and each one needs a different level of effort to defeat.
All of the raid bosses available right now stay in the game until December 2. That is the final day of the Tales of Transformation event. Once the next event begins the lineup will change again.
Tier 1 raids are the easiest. These appear at regular gyms and almost anyone can beat them alone. This month you can fight Machop, Timburr, and Pancham. Each one also has a chance to appear as a shiny. They have low CP ranges and are simple warm up battles.
Tier 3 raids are a bit stronger. They still are not too hard if you bring the right counters. For this tier, players can battle Galarian Farfetch’d, Throh, and Sawk. All three are fighting types and all three can show up shiny too.
Tier 5 raids are where things get serious. These raids usually feature legendary Pokemon and you need a team of people to defeat them. Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion are the current bosses. Each of them has a shiny chance and very high CP. These fights require planning and a good lineup of Pokemon that can deal super effective damage.
Mega raids are also available. These battles give Mega Energy, which lets you mega evolve your own Pokemon. You can fight Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Medicham, and Mega Garchomp. After beating the raid you get to catch the regular version of the Pokemon.
Shadow raids work a little differently. Team Go Rocket takes over the gym and the shadow version of a Pokemon becomes the boss. Tier 1 shadow raids this week include Drowzee, Ralts, Bagon, and Snover. They are slightly harder than their regular versions but still manageable. Tier 3 shadow raids are more aggressive and can get chaotic. You can face Scyther, Aerodactyl, and Sableye in these battles. Their shadow forms hit much harder and need more careful counters.
The toughest shadow raid this month is Shadow Latios. This is a Tier 5 shadow legendary raid and is one of the hardest types of fights in the entire game. If you struggled with the lower shadow raids, this one will feel even more punishing. It has a shiny chance, but the fight is not easy at all.
Every Monday there is also a Max Raid from 6 pm to 7 pm. A giant Dynamax Pokemon appears at a power spot and you can challenge it using Max Particles. This month the Dynamax boss is Eevee, and after defeating it you get a chance to catch it.
Raid battles in Pokemon Go always happen at gyms. When a raid is active you will see the boss floating above the gym. If the raid has not started yet you will see an egg with a timer. When the timer reaches zero, the boss appears. The higher the tier, the harder the fight. But the rewards make the effort worth it. After winning the raid, you get a chance to catch the Pokemon. The shiny rate is one in twenty, which is pretty good for rare Pokemon.
Raid Hour happens every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm. During this one hour, every nearby gym will feature only Tier 5 bosses. It is the best time to catch a legendary Pokemon because you get more chances within a short window.
Raid Passes are needed to join these battles. You get one free pass each day by spinning a nearby gym. You can only hold one at a time, so you must use it before collecting another. Premium passes can be bought from the shop or earned from some missions. These can be stacked. Remote passes let you join raids from far away, but you can only buy three and they cannot be stacked either. If you’re buying passes, the bundle of three is cheaper and more worth it.
This month has a lot to offer, and the raid lineup gives every player something to aim for. Whether you want a shiny, a legendary or a mega evolution, November gives you a chance to add something exciting to your team.
