During her appearance on <em>The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>, the singer opened up about attending her best friend Selena Gomez\u2019s wedding to Benny Blanco \u2014 and she made it clear that the day was all about Selena, not her own engagement to Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor shared that she had given a heartfelt speech at the ceremony but was careful not to make it about herself. \u201cI did make a speech, but I actually made a point not to mention anything about my engagement,\u201d she told Fallon. \u201cNo one wants you to be like, \u2018Hey, I know this is your wedding day, but look at my ring.\u2019 So I was like, don\u2019t mention it.\u201d Instead, she focused on celebrating Selena and how stunning she looked on her big day, calling her \u201cthe most elegant, gorgeous person\u201d and adding, \u201cI\u2019ve never seen anything so beautiful as her on her wedding day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Jimmy asked what she said in her speech, Taylor gave a sweet peek into her words. She talked about their friendship, which has lasted nearly two decades, and even poked fun at their early fashion choices. \u201cIt was the year of deep, deep V-necks and aggressively colorful skinny jeans,\u201d she joked. \u201cSelena\u2019s favorite outfit was a long tank top, skinny jeans, and a tiny little vest. I always looked like I was late for a cowboy-themed junior prom.\u201d Taylor went on to say how grateful she was to have grown up alongside Selena and to now see her so happy and in love.<\/p>\n<p>Selena later returned the love on Instagram, sharing a few unseen photos from her wedding and writing a touching note to Taylor. \u201cIn honor of <em>SHOWGIRL<\/em>\u2026 blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later, gator!
