The couple, who met on the set of <em>Step Up<\/em>, were married for ten years and share a daughter, Evelyn. Tatum is now in a relationship with Inka Williams.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with <em>Variety<\/em> while promoting his upcoming movie <em>Roofman<\/em>, Tatum described the divorce as painful. \u201cJenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young. We tried to keep it together, tried for a year and a half, but we knew it was\u2026 Not to go into all that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tatum also admitted that being away from his daughter is tough. \u201cIt\u2019s in the past. But it\u2019s really tough not to have your daughter half the time. I wish I could just have her all the time,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>The actor reflected on how the experience shaped him. \u201cLife gives you fuel. If you\u2019ve really been heartbroken, and really been in pain and felt real, true aloneness \u2026 I\u2019ve experienced enough life that I have something to offer. The technique and the ability to actually deliver,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tatum and Dewan began dating in 2006 and got engaged two years later.
