The movie is just shy of the $500 million milestone and is on track to surpass Steven Spielberg\u2019s classic <em>Jaws<\/em>, which made $477.9 million globally.<\/p>\n<p>This year has been tough for Marvel. No comic book movie has crossed the $700 million mark, and even MCU films like <em>Thunderbolts<\/em> and <em>Captain America: Brave New World<\/em> stayed below $450 million. <em>Fantastic Four<\/em> is underperforming compared to expectations but still showing promise.<\/p>\n<p>The film takes place in a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world. The Fantastic Four\u2014Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm\u2014must stop Galactus and his Herald, the Silver Surfer, from destroying Earth.
