Fans are buzzing with theories, and one question keeps coming back\u2014could Scarlett Johansson appear again, even though Natasha Romanoff\u2019s story ended in <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a post on X stirred up speculation by claiming, <em>\u201cScarlett Johansson will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. She will not appear as Black Widow.\u201d<\/em> That was enough to spark hope, especially since Marvel has played with surprising returns before, like the talk around Robert Downey Jr. showing up in a new role.<\/p>\n<p>But Scarlett herself has addressed the topic. In her <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> cover story, she admitted that she still misses her Marvel family, but she doesn\u2019t see herself stepping back into Natasha\u2019s shoes. She explained that her character\u2019s arc already feels complete. Natasha sacrificed herself on Vormir in <em>Endgame<\/em>, a powerful ending that helped the Avengers secure the Soul Stone. Scarlett said it wouldn\u2019t feel right to undo that just for the sake of bringing her back.<\/p>\n<p>So while rumors suggest she could appear in some other form\u2014maybe a cameo, a flashback, or even a multiverse twist\u2014Scarlett seems firm about not returning as Black Widow.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of Marvel, though, her career is thriving. Her latest movie, <em>Jurassic World Rebirth<\/em>, has become a box office giant. Released on July 4, 2025, it has already made more than $830 million worldwide, proving Scarlett\u2019s star power goes far beyond the Marvel universe.<\/p>\n<p>For now, fans may have to accept that Natasha\u2019s sacrifice remains one of Marvel\u2019s most meaningful goodbyes.
