Two of country music\u2019s rising stars, Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock, almost turned a music festival into a boxing ring over the weekend. The clash went down at the Born & Raised festival, where video clips quickly spread across social media showing Bryan shouting at Adcock from behind a barbed wire fence. At one point, Bryan even jumped the fence in an attempt to get to him, only to be stopped by security.<\/p>\n
The feud between the two has been simmering for months and finally boiled over just before Adcock was set to perform on Saturday night. Adcock himself posted a clip of the altercation to Instagram with the sharp caption, \u201cWhen you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown.\u201d<\/em> His fans wasted no time piling on. One wrote, \u201cIt\u2019s a good thing security was there because Adcock would\u2019ve wiped the floor with the little man.\u201d<\/em> Another mocked Bryan, calling him \u201can angry elf.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n But that wasn\u2019t the only video making the rounds. A separate clip posted to Facebook showed Bryan scaling the fence and charging toward Adcock before security pulled him back. That angle flipped the script. This time, the internet turned on Adcock. One user commented, \u201cHi, I\u2019m Gavin Adcock. I\u2019m a tough guy on stage but in person I call for cops.\u201d<\/em> Another added, \u201cWeird how that works.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n When pressed on why he didn\u2019t fight back, Adcock gave a straightforward answer. He told fans he had a show to play and wasn\u2019t about to risk jail time over Bryan, calling him a \u201cPsycho.\u201d<\/em> Some understood his reasoning, but plenty of others accused him of hiding behind his security and not backing up his tough talk.<\/p>\n So why all the bad blood? It goes back to July. Adcock had called out Bryan on X, accusing him of being rude to a 14-year-old fan. He wrote, \u201cIf you can\u2019t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old why do people idolize you? That kid was head over heels to meet you. He\u2019s got feelings too and you\u2019re a grown man nearly 30.\u201d<\/em> Bryan hit back by saying fans weren\u2019t entitled to his time after playing a long two-and-a-half hour show, bluntly telling Adcock to \u201cGOMD\u201d<\/em> \u2013 short for \u201cGet off my d\u2014-.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n From there, things only escalated. Months of online digs turned into real-life tension, and this weekend was the first time it almost turned physical.
