Mexico\u2019s stock market finished higher on Friday, with the main index touching a fresh all-time high. The S&P\/BMV IPC climbed 0.40%, helped by strong gains in industrials, consumer goods, and consumer staples.<\/p>\n
Among the top performers, Becle SA, the maker of Jose Cuervo tequila, rose 2.85% to 21.26. Grupo Televisa added 2.75% to close at 10.45, while Grupo Bimbo advanced 2.63% to finish at 65.15.<\/p>\n
On the downside, Genomma Lab Internacional dropped 3.90% to 20.44. Low-cost airline Volaris fell 2.25% to 11.30, and Industrias Pe\u00f1oles slipped 1.87% to 783.64.<\/p>\n
Overall, more stocks declined than gained. On the exchange, 126 shares ended lower, 97 finished higher, and 21 were unchanged.<\/p>\n
In commodities, gold for December delivery inched up 0.21% to $3,681.25 an ounce. Oil prices also firmed, with October crude rising 0.37% to $62.60 a barrel and November Brent gaining 0.78% to $66.89 a barrel.<\/p>\n
