And sequel writing!!!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"723\">To clear up speculation, Gunn also noted that while the project continues Superman\u2019s story, it should not be referred to as <em data-start=\"618\" data-end=\"630\">Superman 2<\/em>. <em data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"707\">\u201cThis is the same movie. Superman has a major role. It\u2019s not Superman 2,\u201d<\/em> he clarified.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"759\" data-end=\"1122\">In a previous interview with <em data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"810\">Entertainment Weekly<\/em>, Gunn elaborated on the project\u2019s direction. He explained that while the new movie is indeed a continuation, it may not fit the mold of a conventional sequel. <em data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"1107\">\u201cWhat I\u2019m working on is in some way\u2026 I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes. But is it a straight-up Superman sequel? I would not say necessarily,\u201d<\/em> Gunn teased.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1332\">With the film still in early development, no plot details or additional cast announcements have been revealed. For now, fans will have to wait as the DC boss shapes the future of the Man of Steel on screen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1652\">Gunn\u2019s decision to move forward with another Superman-centered story comes as little surprise, given the success of the most recent film.
