A long-running inside joke in the fandom recently made a comeback thanks to the group\u2019s newest album, <em>GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 In Your Fantasy Edition<\/em>, which was released on July 11. In particular, Hongjoong\u2019s solo track, <em>NO1<\/em>, took the joke even further and brought it into the music itself.<\/p>\n<p>The joke originally came from a meet-and-greet session during ATEEZ\u2019s 2024 World Tour. While signing autographs, a fan casually remarked, \u201cOh my God, I\u2019m taller than him,\u201d referring to Hongjoong. In a funny and quick-witted moment, Hongjoong jokingly acted offended and immediately responded with, \u201cHow was the show?\u201d His playful comment was a way of turning the attention back to his performance instead of his height.<\/p>\n<p>The joke stuck with the fandom, and Hongjoong clearly hadn\u2019t forgotten it either. In his track <em>NO1<\/em>, he cleverly included the fan\u2019s exact comment \u2014 \u201cOMG, I\u2019m taller than him\u201d \u2014 at the very beginning of the song. This unexpected callback delighted fans, who were thrilled to see their inside joke turned into part of ATEEZ\u2019s official music.<\/p>\n<p>The fan whose voice was sampled in <em>NO1<\/em> shared her reaction on ATEEZ\u2019s paid fan messaging platform. She jokingly asked, \u201cuhhh so since I\u2019m in the song\u2026 can I get a free meet and greet ticket in LA?\u201d She later posted a screenshot of her message on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it with \u201cim shooting my shot.\u201d The post quickly went viral among fellow fans.<\/p>\n<p>Other ATINYs joined in with their own funny responses. One fan suggested, \u201cCan u actually go on stage and perform with him and just say you\u2019re taller than him into the mic?
