But there\u2019s finally a bit of good news for the Astros\u2019 pitching rotation.<\/p>\n
Spencer Arrighetti, a 25-year-old right-hander, is getting closer to returning. He hasn\u2019t pitched in the majors since early April after suffering a fractured thumb from a line drive during practice. It\u2019s been a long road to recovery, but he\u2019s making progress.<\/p>\n
Astros general manager Dana Brown shared an update on Sunday, saying Arrighetti is scheduled for one more rehab start. If everything goes smoothly, he could rejoin the team shortly after.<\/p>\n
Arrighetti is still learning the ropes in the big leagues; this is only his second season. So far in his career, all with the Astros, he\u2019s made 16 appearances, posting an 8-14 record with a 4.60 ERA and 179 strikeouts in 154.2 innings.<\/p>\n
