Elon Musk on Saturday said that SpaceX\u2019s Starlink will support communication links in Gaza with \u201cinternationally recognised aid organisations.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his social media platform X, Musk said that it was not clear on who has the authority for ground links in Gaza, but he does know that \u201cno terminal has requested a connection in that area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaza has been under communications blackout<\/a> since Saturday, which has disable them from connecting to the outside world, or ambulances, or colleagues elsewhere, while Israel has intensified its air and ground assault.<\/p>\n

International humanitarian organisations said that blackout, which began on Friday evening, has been worsening the already desperate situation by impeding life-saving operations and preventing them from contacting their staff on the ground.<\/p>\n

SpaceX did not immediately respond to Reuters\u2019 request for comment on how they will make sure the Starlink connection is used by aid organisation and not Hamas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
