For a while, it seemed like a second movie might never happen, as time passed without any news. With the long-awaited sequel finally gaining momentum, the latest update has confirmed both the full title and several new cast members for Ready or Not 2<\/em>. Instead of going with a simple number like Ready or Not 2<\/em>, the filmmakers have chosen the official title Ready or Not: Here I Come<\/em>. This name feels darker and more intense, suggesting that the next movie will bring even more twisted and deadly games.<\/p>\n

In addition to revealing the title, Searchlight Pictures shared on X (which used to be called Twitter) that filming for the sequel has officially started in Toronto, Canada.<\/p>\n

The movie is also becoming a major star-filled production. Two big names have been added to the cast, Elijah Wood, known for The Lord of the Rings<\/em>, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, famous for Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>. Their exact roles haven\u2019t been revealed yet, but they\u2019re joining an already strong lineup that includes returning star Samara Weaving, as well as Kathryn Newton, who recently appeared in Abigail<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The directors of Ready or Not<\/em>, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, also known as the team behind Radio Silence, recently shared that progress on the sequel is going well behind the scenes. They officially confirmed that Ready or Not 2<\/em> was happening back in October 2024.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the announcement, casting for the movie began picking up speed, with several new actors joining the project in early 2025. It was also revealed that filming officially started in April 2025, although we still don\u2019t know the full production schedule just yet.<\/p>\n

Given how quickly things are moving, there\u2019s a good chance that Ready or Not: Here I Come<\/em> could be ready to hit theatres sometime in early 2026.<\/p>\n

For context, the original Ready or Not<\/em> was released on August 21, 2019, so by the time the sequel comes out, it will have been about six and a half years since the first movie premiered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
