The big trade between the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> and the Cleveland Browns on Day 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft is already sparking debate, and so far, most of the praise is going to Jacksonville and their young GM, James Gladstone.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars made a bold move by trading up to grab two-way star Travis Hunter with the No. 2 overall pick, giving up their 2025 second-rounder and 2026 first-round pick in the process. It was a hefty price, but it might already be paying off.<\/p>\n

Hunter, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback, has been turning heads at camp with his versatility and talent. Even Bleacher Report called the trade one of the top 20 offseason moves this year, noting that Hunter\u2019s buzz is also helping quarterback Trevor Lawrence stay out of the spotlight so he can quietly work on his comeback.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, things aren\u2019t going as smoothly in Cleveland. One of the players they picked up in the trade, pass rusher Mason Graham, made headlines for the wrong reason, throwing up during rookie minicamp. That obviously raised concerns about his conditioning, even though those reports might be exaggerated.<\/p>\n

The Browns did get some other pieces in the trade, like former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins, who\u2019s reportedly been looking good during OTAs. Plus, Cleveland now holds two potential top-10 picks in the 2026 draft, which could work out big-time in the long run.<\/p>\n

Still, in a league that lives by the \u201cwhat have you done for me lately\u201d mentality, the Jaguars are riding the momentum. Hunter is already generating major buzz, while Cleveland is left hoping their gamble pays off down the line.<\/p>\n
