She has also agreed to testify against Trump, if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Ellis is the third member of Trump\u2019s legal team to reach a plea deal since Thursday, following Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro. In all, nineteen people have been charged in sweeping racketeering indictment brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to agree to testify.<\/p>\n<p>With her voice cracking, Ellis told an Atlanta court that she \u201cfailed to do [her] due diligence\u201d in vetting claims about voter fraud from other Trump attorneys. She added that she regretted representing Trump post the elections.<\/p>\n<p>The guilty pleas marks significant progress on Willis\u2019 side in securing testimony that could implicate Trump and more other high profiles defendants in an attempt to illegally interfere with the elections.<\/p>\n<p>Ellis,, 38, pleaded guilty to abetting false statements and writing, and aiding.
