Hailey Bieber opened up about the tough journey she faced after giving birth to her son, Jack Blues Bieber. In a heartfelt interview, she revealed that she struggled deeply with postpartum body dysmorphia\u2014a painful experience where she saw her body in a distorted, negative way\u2014and battled self-hatred like never before.<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cMotherhood brings you to the edge.\u201d Even though she was proactive about her mental health by finding a new therapist, taking placenta pills to help prevent postpartum depression, and continuing prenatal vitamins, the intense hormonal changes and emotional challenges were overwhelming.<\/p>\n
Hailey admitted she didn\u2019t recognize her body anymore and often found herself stuck in a loop of harsh self-judgment. She even searched online for comments that would confirm her negative feelings. But every day, she had to remind herself, \u201cHailey, you had a baby. You grew a human. You birthed a human. It\u2019s okay. Give yourself grace. Give yourself time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Before becoming a mom, she had always had a positive relationship with her body and fitness, but postpartum, losing the last 15 pounds proved difficult. She worked with fitness experts to rebuild her strength and shed weight but also accepted that her body wouldn\u2019t be exactly the same. \u201cWhen people talk about \u2018bouncing back\u2019\u2014back where?\u201d she said. \u201cMy hips are wider, my boobs are actually bigger than they were before\u2026 It\u2019s not the same body as it was before. You change head to toe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Slowly, Hailey began embracing these changes and shifted her focus toward growth and self-love. \u201cI like who I am so much more than I ever have,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n
Motherhood also brought her newfound confidence and clarity. \u201cYou really start to give less of a f\\*ck about so many things\u2026 He \\[Jack] is my priority. He is the most important thing to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
